Android Auto brings Zoom and Prime to the car screen

Now Google makes all that more convenient because the latest Android Auto and cars allow you to follow Zoom meeting through the car screen and no need to bother looking for a cell phone that is stored on top or is being charged.

“Starting today, Webex by Cisco and Zoom launch on Android Auto with audio-only capabilities, introducing a completely new application category,” said Director of Android Auto Product Management at Google Haris Ramic on the company’s official blog recently.

Years ago, the ability to answer phone calls directly from the car screen revolutionized the way we communicate on the road. “We’re taking the next step by making it easy and safe for you to immediately join scheduled meetings and conference calls from your car screen, so you don’t have to bother looking for your phone,” he said.
Not just for work, the latest Android Auto also expands video applications in the car. Prime Video is now available on Google Play for select Renault, Polestar and Volvo Cars, with other brands to follow.
So, while waiting for your wife to shop at the store or while waiting for your children to come home from school, you can enjoy favorite content such as the Emmy-winning series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, or popular ones such as “AIR”, “Creed III”, “The Boys”, and “The Summer I Turned Pretty” and many more.
Ramic also revealed that Google is developing support for digital car keys, which will allow users to unlock, lock and start their cars with just their phones. Users can even share digital keys wirelessly with family and friends on Android and iOS.
Already available in some European countries, support for digital car keys is now rolling out on select Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia models in the US, Canada, and Korea, for drivers with compatible Pixel and Samsung devices like the Pixel 7 Pro and Samsung S23+.
