Previously, this feature was available for the iOS version of Chrome and is now starting to be rolled out to Android users.
GSM Arena reported on Friday (27/1), this “Incognito” tab locking feature will be suitable for users of smart devices, both tablets and smartphones, who use their devices for common purposes and do not want to be tracked.
So even if more than one person uses the device, one user’s search list cannot be tracked by other users.
This feature not only locks the search list in the “Incognito” tab but is also linked to biometric information, PINs or patterns for accounts that can be accessed via the internet.
To activate the “Incognito” tab locking feature, Android users can start by opening the “Incognito” tab in Chrome.
After that they can access the “Settings” option then select “Privacy & Security” and can immediately turn on the “Lock incognito tabs when you close Chrome” option.
If you haven’t found the locking feature for the “Incognito” tab in your Chrome then maybe you need to be patient considering this feature is still in the release stage.
