Google confirms Android One can hide bangs
Gadget CatalogJakarta (ANTARA News) – Google confirmed that Android One has no requirements that would force smartphone makers to remove the hide feature notches or bangs.
Several weeks ago, quoted from Phone Arena, HMD Global was in the middle of a debate about hiding the bangs feature on the Nokia 6.1 Plus.
Many smartphones offer the option to hide the notch, but for some reason, the Finnish company decided to remove the feature last week.
At the time, moderators from the official HMD forums said the option to hide the notch had been removed due to Google’s Android One requirements.
However, a few days later HMD announced through Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas, that they would reactivate the setting to black out the notch on the Nokia 6.1 Plus.
Now, for those of you using a mid-range smartphone with the Android One operating system, you can look forward to hiding your bangs soon.
